Educational & Other Qualifications:
• The applicants who wish to apply for the position of Lecturer in Surgery should have a recognised Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post Graduate degree qualification in the speciality concerned or equivalent with at least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Senior Resident/Registrar/Tutor/Demonstrator in a Medical College/Teaching Institution. They should have knowledge of Konkani language and Marathi language (desirable).
• The applicants who wish to apply for the position of Assistant Lecturers should have a recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. They should have knowledge of Konkani and Marathi (desirable).
• The applicants who wish to apply for the position of Senior Medical Officer for Anti Retroviral Therapy Centre should be a Doctor of Medicine or concerned clinical discipline, from a recognised University/Institution, failing which, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) and Diploma in Clinical discipline, from a recognised University/Institution, with at least three years experience in the line, failing which, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) and Fellowship in Human Immunodeficiency Virus (H.I.V.) Medicine or Diploma in Public Health, from a recognised University/Institution, with at least three years experience in the line. They should have knowledge of Konkani and Marathi (desirable).
• The applicants who wish to apply for the position of Medical Officer for Anti Retroviral Therapy Centre should have Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from a recognised University/Institution. (ii) Trained by National AIDS Control Organization (N.A.C.O.) at one of National AIDS Control Organization designated training centres. They should have knowledge of Konkani and Marathi (desirable).
• The applicants who wish to apply for the position of Lecturer in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics should have a qualification included in Part I or Part II of the Schedule to the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948). (ii) Post-Graduate qualification in Dentistry i.e. Master of Dental Surgery in concerned speciality/subject from a recognized institution or equivalent. They should be registered with Dental Council. They should have knowledge of Konkani and Marathi (desirable).
• The applicants who wish to apply for the position of Junior Consultants should have a recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. They should have knowledge of Konkani and Marathi (desirable).
• The applicants who wish to apply for the position of Ayurvedic Physician should have a recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956. They should have knowledge of Konkani and Marathi (desirable).
• The applicants who wish to apply for the position of Research Officer should have at least 2nd Class Master's Degree in Indian History or Political Science or Sociology from a recognized University or equivalent. They should have minimum two years experience in conducting research in the respective branch of study (Qualifications relaxable at Commission's discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified). They should have knowledge of Konkani and Marathi (desirable).
• The applicants who wish to apply for the position of Assistant Professors in Government College should have a Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Master's Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. (ii) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor: Provided, however, that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph. D. Degree in compliance of the "University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges". They should have knowledge of Konkani and Marathi (desirable).
• The applicants who wish to apply for the position of College Director of Physical Education should have Master's degree in Physical Education (two years course) with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of 'B' in the UGC's 7 point scale plus a consistently good academic record; (ii) Record of having represented the University/College at least at the inter-University/intercollegiate competitions or the State in National championships; (iii) Should have successfully undergone physical fitness test as per norms. Note: A candidate, before appearing for the test, shall produce a medical certificate certifying that he/she is medically fit. Qualifying in the NET conducted for the purpose by the UGC or SET accredited by the UGC. Director of Physical Education holding Ph.D. is exempted from NET. Candidates holding Ph.D. degree who are already in the University system and have obtained Master's degree prior to 1991 will be given relaxation of 5% from 55% to 50% of marks for appointment to the post of College Director of Physical Education, Government Colleges. They should have knowledge of Konkani and Marathi (desirable).
• The applicants who wish to apply for the position of Assistant Geologist should have M. Sc. Degree in Geology from a recognised University or (i) Diploma in Allied Geology from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad or its equivalent with 3 years experience in the field. They should have knowledge of Konkani and Marathi (desirable).
